Rules of Discipline

  • All the rules and regulations that are in force from time to time are binding upon the Students and their parents. Ignorance of the current rules and regulations will not be an excuse for lack of compliance. Some relevant extracts thereof are also published in the school Diary. Parents will abide by the rules/circulars issued by the school from time to time.
  • Punctuality and regularity in attendance, uniform, earnest efforts in home-work assignment and polite behavior inside and outside the school are always insisted on and in all these matters the parents’ full co-operation is expected at all times.
  • Students must stand up smartly and great teachers who enter the classroom. They must also stand when the teacher leaves the room. They must respectfully greet all Staff members whenever they meet them, inside or outside the school.
  • Honesty is expected of every students. If a student finds something which does not belong to him/her, he/she should inform the principal of the articles found and leave the same in the office. Students who have lost articles may also enquire them in the office.
  • Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school. The bringing of any objectionable objects such as mobiles, weapons etc. to school and ganging up with students of other schools is strictly forbidden. Bullying in any form will not be tolerated in the school. Students found guilty of indulging in any form of threatening or intimidating behavior warrant instant dismissal. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, objectionable moral behavior and above all, discourtesy and disrespect to teachers are each a sufficient cause for suspension or dismissal.
  • On their way to and from school, students must remember that the school is judged by their conduct. Thus, every student is urged to contribute to the school is judged by their conduct. Thus, every student is urged to contribute to the high tone of the school by his/her manners and department.
  • Students must come to school neatly dressed in the proper school uniform. Untidy clothes, torn shoes, rubber slippers, etc. Will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Only under special circumstances permission could be granted by the Principal.
  • Students are advised to bring only home made fresh tiffin, purchase of any article of food from unauthorized dealers at or near the school premises is prohibited.
  • Damage to school property, however, slight, will not be condoned. The parents will have to bear the expenses for repair/replacement of the damaged property.
  • Students should attend school regularly. No leave of absence is granted except for genuine reasons. Students who are absent from school for five consecutive days without permission will have their names removed from the register and will be re-admitted only if there is a vacancy and on payment of the re-admission fee. In all cases of unforeseen circumstances, for which an authenticated reason should be furnished by the parents or guardian. However, granting leave is entirely at the discretion of the Principal. Attendance on the last day of the school before a long vacation or on the first day of school after a long vacation is compulsory.
  • Absentees at an examination will be considered as having failed, unless it is established that their absence was due to illness. Ninety percent attendance is compulsory for promotion.
  • Students caught using unfair means in an examination shall get a ‘Zero’, in all the subjects and the examination as a whole will be cancelled.
  • The Principal reserves the right to dismiss students who continually fail to make satisfactory progress in their studies or whose conduct is in any way detrimental to the orderly life of the school.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school premises without permission from the Principal or Headmistress.
  • Students must cultivate the habit of quiet, controlled movement and speech. Necessary movements about the school must be made in a quiet, orderly manner.
  • If students eat their tiffin in the school, they must see that the place is clean before they leave. They must not litter the campus with sweet papers and biscuit wrappers or write on walls. Dustbins are provided and should be used.
  • Students are responsible for the safely of their own books, pens, tiffin carriers or any other articles which they bring to school. The school is not responsible for the loss of any student’s possessions. It is, therefore, not advisable to bring valuables articles such as gold ornaments, etc. to school.
  • Gifts to staff members or other demonstrations in their honour also require the Principal’s sanction.
  • During the absence of the teacher from the class, students must obey the perfect or moniter appointed to maintain good order.
  • Every student must take part in physical training and games unless declared unfit on medical grounds and exempted by the Principal.
  • The School diary is a record of reference. Students must bring their diaries to school every day, and parents should check and sign these diaries regularly, to keep in touch with what is being taught and the homework that is being assigned to the pupils. The page containing personal information of a student must be completed. Parents should not forget containing personal information of a student not forget to enter in the diary their specimen signatures, which may be referred to, if necessary.
  • A student must not attend school there be any infectious disease in the home, Until the danger of infection has passed. An intimation to this effort must be given to the Principal.
  • Those who return to school after absenting themselves without leaves shall not enter the class without the permission of the Principal.
  • Parents should instruct their children who come to school in the care of carer that they should never leave school before the carer arrive. In case of delay, the student should report to the school office.
